Cute pic, huh? Now tell me. How can one look into those eyes and just leave him on the side of the road?
YES. These two little peanuts were left on the side of the road, while it was dark, in the early morning hours. But hey, let's give the owner some credit here. The owner so kindly left a bowl of food with them on the shoulder of the road.
Geesh, Mr/Ms/Miss/Mrs Owner, were you betting on them maybe getting hit, you sick worthless piece of crap! I mean...who does this???
So the day was spent with my friend who found these two sweeties, trying to find a safe place to take them. My friend has two dogs and these two DO NOT like other dogs. My house is filled with two dogs and lots of cats. (I took in a stray pregnant cat, more on that soon).
They are in a crate at my friends house for the night. At least they are alive and safe and tomorrow we will work on finding a no kill shelter or a beagle rescue. Please wish us luck!
And that is how they are, always together even when sleeping. They really should both go together to a new home.

Good luck on finding a good home for them. Over the past winter, as I was visiting my daughter, I saw a kitten outside of a house, almost frozen to the snow. I took off my coat, went over and wrapped the half-frozen kitten, who was too sick to even cry, and marched up to the door of the house. No answer. So I took her home. I didn't have the dollars to get her to a vet, so I tried (in vain) to save her. Sadly, she passed away after two days, but I told my bebe boy, who was very sad, that she at least was warm and knew people cared about her.
ReplyDeleteawww, the poor kitty. You did what you could, so many people will not even try. We did find a home for the puppies, and they went together. I'm hoping they will do well :)
